Be Content

Philippians 4:10-20
This is Paul’s letter of acknowledgement of the Philippians’s monetary gift to him while he was in prison. Paul wanted to let them know that although he greatly appreciated their support, he had learned to be content in every kind of situation, good and bad. Paul’s contentment came from his faith in the Lord, and was based on the strength provided to him by the Lord.
Paul was very thankful for the Philippians’s faithful hearts in sending him the monetary support, and he commended them for aiding him also in the past.
He continued in his letter to tell the Philippians that God blesses us in some way every time that we give. (vs. 19) He also reminded them to always glorify God in our giving. (vs. 20)
NOTE:
3 Things to Pray Over When Giving:
1. How much to give?
2. Where to give?
3. Pray for your heart in your giving, to be aware of the Lord’s blessings and the fruit of each gift that you offer up.
