What does Unity in Christ look like?

Ephesians 4:1-5

It’s being noble for the glory of Christ “walk in a manner worthy of the calling…”

It’s being humble for the glory of Christ

It’s being gentle for the glory of Christ

It’s being patient for the glory of Christ

It’s loving one another for the glory of Christ.

What brings division among the body of believers?

Satan wants to mess up a great Kingdom work and he knows how to do it!

John 10:10

1) Words

– Gossip, Rumors, and Name Calling.  Ephesians 4:29 “Let no corrupting talk come out of your mouths, but only such as is good for building up, as fits the occasion, that it may give grace to those who hear.”  Sticks and Stones will break my bones but words will never hurt me.  Yea right!  Hurt people hurt people.

2) Wrongs

– Pasts events, Unforgiveness “Digging Up Bones” by Randy Travis.  Colossians 3:12-14 “Put on then, as God’s chosen ones, holy and beloved, compassionate hearts, kindness, humility, meekness, and patience, 13 bearing with one another and, if one has a complaint against another, forgiving each other; as the Lord has forgiven you, so you also must forgive. 14 And above all these put on love, which binds everything together in perfect harmony.”
