Resurrection Website BannerThe resurrection of Christ is a historic fact.  Many debate this fact.  Every jury must have evidence to form a verdict.

2 Corinthians 4:4-6 “ In their case the god of this world has blinded the minds of the unbelievers, to keep them from seeing the light of the gospel of the glory of Christ, who is the image of God. 5 For what we proclaim is not ourselves, but Jesus Christ as Lord, with ourselves as your servants[a] for Jesus’ sake. 6 For God, who said, “Let light shine out of darkness,” has shone in our hearts to give the light of the knowledge of the glory of God in the face of Jesus Christ.”

Supernatural Work v.19

Luke 24:39 “See my hands and my feet, that it is I myself. Touch me, and see. For a spirit does not have flesh and bones as you see that I have.”

Romans 1:19-20 “For what can be known about God is plain to them, because God has shown it to them. 20 For his invisible attributes, namely, his eternal power and divine nature, have been clearly perceived, ever since the creation of the world, in the things that have been made. So they are without excuse.”

Seeing Him- Eyewitnesses v.20

1 Corinthians 15:4-8 “4 that he was buried, that he was raised on the third day in accordance with the Scriptures, 5 and that he appeared to Cephas, then to the twelve. 6 Then he appeared to more than five hundred brothers at one time, most of whom are still alive, though some have fallen asleep. 7 Then he appeared to James, then to all the apostles. 8 Last of all, as to one untimely born, he appeared also to me.”

Being Sent v.21

A Great Commission Text

There was martyrdom again many who had once denied Christ.  They believed so much that they went out to share Jesus.  They are not able to do this by their own power.  Acts 1:8

Spirit-Filled v.22

Acts 1:8 “But you will receive power when the Holy Spirit has come upon you, and you will be my witnesses in Jerusalem and in all Judea and Samaria, and to the end of the earth.”

Romans 8:9 “You, however, are not in the flesh but in the Spirit, if in fact the Spirit of God dwells in you. Anyone who does not have the Spirit of Christ does not belong to him.”

Savoring Forgiveness v.23

Acts 13:38 “Let it be known to you therefore, brothers, that through this man forgiveness of sins is proclaimed to you,”

Luke 24:46-49 “and said to them, “Thus it is written, that the Christ should suffer and on the third day rise from the dead, 47 and that repentance for the forgiveness of sins should be proclaimed in his name to all nations, beginning from Jerusalem. 48 You are witnesses of these things. 49 And behold, I am sending the promise of my Father upon you. But stay in the city until you are clothed with power from on high.”

Felt the Savior’s Hand vv.24-28

1 Peter 1:8 “Though you have not seen him, you love him. Though you do not now see him, you believe in him and rejoice with joy that is inexpressible and filled with glory”

We haven’t seen Him, but we love Him.  We experience Him.  We’ve felt His touch.  We have faith in Christ and faith in scripture.

Sought Christ Because of His Word v.29

Romans 10:17 “So faith comes from hearing, and hearing through the word of Christ.”
