Monday, July 13, 2015   …   1 Peter 4:12-13 (ESV)
“Beloved, do not be surprised at the fiery trial when it comes upon you
to test you, as though something strange were happening to you. 13 But rejoice insofar as you share Christ’s sufferings, that you may also rejoice and be glad when his glory is revealed.
Dear Father, thank you for loving me enough to test me.

Tuesday, July 14, 2015   …   1 Peter 4:14 (ESV)
If you are insulted for the name of Christ, you are blessed, because the Spirit of glory and of God rests upon you.”
Dear Lord, give me courage to lovingly profess my faith in you.

Wednesday, July 15, 2015   …   Proverbs 1:7 (ESV)
“The fear of the Lord is the beginning of knowledge; fools despise wisdom and instruction.”
Dear Father, please convict me of those things that I must change.

Thursday, July 16, 2015   …   James 3:18 (ESV)
“And a harvest of righteousness is sown in peace by those who make peace.”
Dear Lord, help me to remember that I am to live as a peace maker, and to encourage others to do the same, resisting malice or gossip.

Friday, July 17, 2015   …   Colossians 1:11 (ESV)
“May you be strengthened with all power, according to his glorious might, for all endurance and patience with joy.”
Dear Heavenly Father, thank you for providing joy and peace, even in the deepest of despair. Give me strength to focus on you, Lord, and not on my trials. I pray that someone will see your power at work in my life, and be moved to seek you out. Thank you for using me to reach others.

Saturday, July 18, 2015   …   1 Corinthians 10:13 (ESV)
God is faithful, and he will not let you be tempted beyond your ability, but with the temptation he will also provide the way of escape, that you may be able to endure it.”
Dear Lord, I thank you for the strength to endure every temptation that
I face. Please convict me of those temptations and remind me that you want me to ask for that strength that comes from you, not from me.
